Today’s leaders face a pressure to innovate—or else perish—unlike any other time in history. Advances in social, mobil and cloud technology, coupled with fierce global competition has made the business landscape nearly unrecognizable from what it was a mere 10 years ago.
Erik Wahl’s entertaining and invigorating Art of Leadership presentation paints a compelling new portrait for what the successful leaders of tomorrow will look like. He inspires audiences to shed old ways of thinking and “business as usual” processes that are outdated, inefficient and detrimental to productivity. Audience members learn new ways to build an emotional connection to drive future employee engagement. Erik’s presentation stretches traditional assumptions on leadership. The end results include:
– innovative solutions to further your organization
– attracting and engaging quality employees
– new efficiencies and the end of detrimental redundancies
Growth and comfort cannot co-exist. When leaders come from a place of authenticity, curiosity, exploration and purpose, this leads to more meaningful connections among team members and with clients and customers—and ultimately, a more profitable organization. An engaged employee equals an engaged customer.

Now dressed in slacks, dress shirt and tie, few would recognize the history of a violent fighter in Kirk Latimer. Kirk’s transformation from a violent boxer to a highly awarded English Education major at Western Michigan University, enabled him to write poetry that reflected on life as an open learning experience, one in which everyone is a student and no one is without fault. His style of writing evolved from his dedication to academics, the explosive power required of a boxer, and the unique juxtaposition of a prankster loving nature. Kirk discovered a way to convert his inner turmoil and aggressiveness into a passionate and impacting learning experience. His fiery energy now fuels the learning of his students and is channeled into the creative power of his writing and dynamic performance.

My biggest insight as a communicator came when I realized the people who hire me are more nervous than I am! That bothered me, but made perfect sense. The success of their event was riding on the quality of their speaker. They were counting on me to deliver. An audience might forget a bad meal but they won’t forget a bad speech.
In order for that to change I created a process that puts my clients at ease before I ever take the stage. And if they agree to walk through the process, I will make them a promise. If I don’t meet their expectations, they don’t pay me. Simple as that.
I don’t make that claim lightly. I can’t. I make it because I know what my clients want. The process clearly defined their communication objectives and painted a bullseye that I could hit — every single time.
